Winter 2007
Hi everyone,
I hope that you are doing well and are making the most of the winter season. I am pleased to announce that I will be doing the Winter Tour of Quebec singer, Nicola Ciccone. Nicola is a great, singer/songwriter from Montreal who sings in French, English, and Italian. I had played the Bell Centre with him in 2005 and I am excited to be able to do his whole tour. The tour runs from February until May and we’ll be performing all over Quebec. This gig is a good opportunity for me to learn a new repertoire and to practice a new style of guitar playing as well. Nicola has a great band and so far the concerts have been really good. It’s also great to not be the musical director on the tour. I simply play guitar and take orders. I ask the questions – I don’t have to answer them ! Nicola’s dates can be seen here: http://www.nicolaciccone.com/nicolashows.html . It would be great to see some of you from Quebec at some of the shows. I have put up a few photos of the tour on the site.
Outside of that, in January I was in New York City recording once again with Corneille. This time we were at Avatar Studios and we recorded for three days. We finished six songs and now the album should be finished. I heard a couple of mixed tracks and they sound like nothing I have heard before. The engineer, Russell Elevado has a sound like nobody else in the business. I put up a few photos of the session on the site, too.
I also did a recording session in February with a fantastic Native American singer from Quebec called Robert Seven-Crows. I recorded two songs from his upcoming album “Native Soulâ€. The songs are beautiful and he sings in English and his native language as well. He tours often in France so those of you in France should check him out.
Well, that’s about it. Enjoy the rest of the winter.
Andy

Hi Andy.
Great website.
Was able to see you perform a couple of times with Corneille in France and always thought you were amazing.
Great to see that you are listening to George Benson too ! I’m a huuuuuge fan of the guy. Did you hear Absolute Benson from a few years ago ? You can’t miss that one, it’s great !
Have a great tour in Canada and thanks for the music.
