The Tour Is Over

Hello everyone,

Well, we are back home in Canada and we have finished the Quebec tour. It has been great to be home and the shows in Quebec were really good. The concerts here are drastically different than the concerts in France. The crowds are quieter and there is actually silence between the songs. The audiences are also a lot smaller. We all feel that it’s a nice change from what we are accustomed to and in some ways it’s easier to perform under these conditions.

For those of you who saw our concerts in France and Quebec - If ever you wanted to know more about the musicians that we used on the tour, here are their names: Sam Harrisson (drums), Allister Philip (keyboards), Jean-Bertrand Carbou (bass), Denis Chiche (percussions), Coco Thompson (vocals), Nadia Theobal (vocals), Justine Therrien (vocals), Yves-Aimé Pierre (vocals), Andy King (trumpet), Guillaume Adan (flute and saxophone), and Gwendolyn Smith (cello). They are all extremely talented and did an amazing job of performing during the concerts.

For the rest of the summer things will be a lot quieter for all of us. Corneille will be in the studio recording his vocal tracks for the English album and he is taking most of the summer off after that. I will do a few gigs with Dawn Tyler Watson, and a few jazz gigs in Old Montreal but I will probably have a lot of time off to rest, relax, spend time with my friends, and practice.

Two weeks ago Corneille was invited to perform at a conference on Human Rights at the Carter Center in Atlanta, Georgia. We played two songs to open up the conference. Former American President Jimmy Carter was in the audience.

The interview that I did on Guitare-Live came out online. You can see it here: http://www.guitare-live.com/article-guitariste-corneille-andy-dacoulis.html

I am still waiting for the interview that I did with Guitare Xtrem to be published. That should be out soon, I hope. Sam Harrisson also did an interview with Batterie magazine.

Well, that’s it for now. I hope that you all have a great summer. We’ll see each other soon.

Andy

  2. Hi Andy,

To Be Honest I’m Fed Up Of This Noisy Crowd ; That’s Why Unfortunately, Neim’s And Me, We Doesn’t See The New Show (There’s A Little Lack Of Money Too But Nothing Important (^_^)). It’s So Disrespectful Of The Work Of The Artists/Musicians And For Those Who Want To Appreciate Simply The Songs. But We Doesn’t See You Since A So Long Time … However, I’m Happy That You Can, Now, Enjoy And Have Some Holidays At Home ;)

I’ve Read Your Interview In “Guitare Live” (With Good Articles On Eric Clapton And Joe Satriani) And It’s Sooooo Instructive … Especially The Influences And The Melody Creation ;)

    See Ya!

PS : Michael Jackson, Prince, Roberta Flack, Norah Jones … Good Playlist :)

  3. Re-salut Andy,

    ;)
    yanni.
