Good News

Hi everyone,

I hope that you are all doing well. I have some good news to report over here. My wife, Marie-France gave birth to our twin girls, Angélique and Kenya-Marie on April 27th. Both the girls and their mother are doing very well. They are adorable and I am amused spending hours watching them eat and sleep.

In other news, Corneille had a showcase for some American record labels in April in Montreal. We played 5 songs from his English album. The next project will be a showcase in Tokyo at the end of June for the Japanese media. I am told that his first Japanese single “Too Much Of Everything” is being played quite a bit on Japanese radio already.

The album of Robert Seven-Crows is done and is released. I was fortunate to play on three songs on this album by the very talented First Nations singer. You can hear me playing on a song called “Tipitown” on Robert’s MySpace site. The address is http://www.myspace.com/robertsevencrows

The tour with Nicola Ciccone has also come to an end. It turned out to be a great experience and one from which I learned quite a bit. Nicola is a great artist and we truely had some amazing moments both on stage and on the road. I enjoyed playing his music and I would look forward to every show. We saw some beautiful places traveling across Quebec and we met some good people, too. I’d like to thank all of the people on the crew that made it a great experience: Peter Ranallo (keyboards and band leader extraordinare), Yves Labonté (acoustic and electric bass), Mike Alati (Drums), Fred Roussel (Directeur Tournée), Pascale Marcotte and Guy Voisin (sound engineers), Mathieu Paradis and Benoît Pepin (lights), Lise Richard (Nicola’s manager) and of course Nicola himself.

I have a also had the good fortune to be doing quite a bit of studio work with various artists lately. When the music comes out, I will let you know.
